This was my first collection of comics, printed in 2000 by Harper Collins. Pages had previously appeared in magazines including Heavy Metal and The Oxford American. Originally the publisher was supposed to be Avon, who were going to issue it as part of their short-lived Spike imprint; they were acquired by Newscorp before that could happen.
Segments of the book were later animated, first for the Comedy Central show TV Funhouse in early 2001, then for the Adult Swim pilot Snake'N'Bacon in 2009. The book was also translated into French by Belgian publisher La Cinquième Couche in 2009.
